The Beginning
In 1994, award winning make-up artist Scott Ramp had an unusual idea, something that had never been done before. You see, Halloween enthusiasts were clamoring for something "more". The average consumer wanted to create the make-up effects then only seen on Hollywood sets and studios. Scott's experience in the Hollywood makeup industry, the Halloween industry and Scott's then 14 years as a college level make-up effects instructor was the perfect match of skills to make this happen. He was told "It's too much work!" and "Its never been done..". Luckily, that did not deter our faithful leader.
The Early Days
The Scream Team was born in 1995. Scott's foam latex appliances with its user-friendly approach were right on target. A small line of appliances and a dream to "up the quality" of the average Halloween consumer proved to fill a need that no one else could at the time. We are proud to have been the first company to offer products like these anywhere. We continue to be proud of our status as the industry leader in foam latex appliances.
The Present
The Scream Team foam latex appliances are of the finest quality foam components. Each piece is baked and hand made by the artist and his crew, right here in the United States. The result is something unparalleled: soft, movie quality foam latex prosthetics that has our customers coming back year after year. From Los Angeles to Lithuania, our customers come from all corners of the world.
A few companies have since entered the foam latex arena, but one thing remains true: The Scream Team products are still handmade by the artist, in the United States, of the highest quality foam available. We refuse to cut corners, simply to have a product that you could find in any neighborhood drugstore. That simply will not do!
